Owned by the same guys who own La Casa Nostra! Enough said. A more formal environment with a proper upmarket silver service setting. Comfortable surroundings and a super setting for lunch and dinner, both romantic and business! Stunning food in a brilliant setting. Parking across the road and if you are lucky in front of the restaurant. At lunchtime, you have a good chance to see schools of dolfins and if you are lucky, pods of whales parking off nearby!

I have seldom seen kids there, and if they were there they were kept pretty quiet. It is a truly unique beach front setting and is a very enjoyable experience, and a romantic one! Do book in advance, and tell them if you want a table inside or outside. A word of warning: check for wind and rain before you decide to dine outside!!

Best RestaurantReviewed 19 May 2015

We go here as often as we can and although it is somewhat expensive, the treat is well with it. Every meal we have eaten here has been superb. The staff are well trained and attentive. The owners are always there, and it shows as the restaurant always runs smoothly. Cant wait to go again!!

Good food, great viewReviewed 4 May 2015

After the dismal lack of service next door at Caffe Java, we moved next door to Bel Punto. It was like night and day! We were warmly welcomed before we even set foot in the restaurant and promptly taken to a table with a great view on the balcony. A waiter approached on been seated and we placed our drinks order. Prices admittedly not the cheapest, but based on the decor, service and food on offer, we were happy to pay it. Standard Italian fare so we ordered pizzas and salads. The complimentary focaccia is a nice touch. The pizza bases a little bit on the underdone side. I would’ve preferred another 2 minutes in the oven, but we were starving. The salad was excellent and service was very attentive. All in all we had a great meal in a great restaurant, with a great view, great vibe and great service. What else could you ask for? We’ll be back!

Simply the bestReviewed 19 April 2015

Mediterranean style! We have loved Bel Punto since our first visit in 2012. They have simply the best langoustines in KZN! Emmanuel and Vanessa are fantastic hosts and add to the experience with their personal touch. Not only is the food great but the service is excellent as well. The view is to die for so get there early for sundowners!
We’ll be back regularly!

Bel-Punto must be rated as one of the best restaurants when it comes to Home made dishes.I had Lasange for lunch and knocchi for supper.Priscilla had the Crayfish and she also raved about her meal. The fish cakes are made by the owners mom. Also the best I have ever tasted. The service is top class with staff well trained.I have been going to Bel-Punto from when they opened and never had a bad meal. The view just makes it even more special.

It really doesn’t! Fabulous Italian pasta, seafood and meats; bracing, celebratory wines; spectacular ocean vistas and breezes; attentive (but not intrusive) service; an upbeat vibe– all this and more come together for a world-class dining experience. The calamari alla griglia were warm, bathed in garlic and lemon, stimulating the senses. The ossobuco was out of this world: succulent, sitting in a rich tomato sauce, and lots of it. Infusing throughout the meal was a fruity, dark pinotage, the uniquely South African grape. I was en route to the airport, and the staff creatively stored my luggage in their wine cellar, where it too aged nicely, though briefly! I am grateful for my host suggesting this remarkable resource just outside Durban. Wow!
